Union Passes for 2025
Information and Terms and Conditions for:
Platinum Pass,Grad Pass,Uni Life Pass
Access and Offers:
- Free entry to Freshers' Week events PLUS priority access before midnight.
- Get access to atleast 8 of our biggest Freshers' Week events throughout the whole of Freshers' Week.
- Free standard Union club night access all year
- Free access to Halloween, Winter Wonderland and St Patrick's Day events
- Free use of cloakroom for one item of clothing during any free club night (subject to availability)
- Free access to Refreshers’ events
- Complimentary bottle of bubbly on your birthday (show your ID and your Platinum Pass email confirmation to a member of our Main Bar Team to get your bottle. If your birthday falls during vacation we can give you a bottle during term time). Alcoholic and non-alcoholic bubbly available.
- You can bring up to two friends to all standard Union run club nights during the last week of every month - your friends must arrive with you.

How to get the perks:
- When purchasing the Platinum Pass some tickets will automatically go into your native account when available (our ticketing platform) or you must claim your ticket depending on the event type.
- Our venue has a fire capacity which we cannot exceed in order to keep our customers safe. As a result entry is subject to capacities.
- We reserve the right to refuse admission.
- No refund will be issued if refused entry, banned or asked to leave.
- You cannot transfer your ticket to another person.
- We are a private members' club; all customers are subject to our rules and disciplinary procedures.
Who can purchase and use the Platinum Pass:
- Students from the University of St Andrews or reciprocal University.
- Under 18s from the University of St Andrews can buy the Platinum Pass but are not allowed to consume alcohol on the premises. Drinking under the age of 18 is illegal in Scotland.
Valid:
- Platinum Pass: Until June 2026.
- Grad Pass: Until July 2026.
- Uni Life Pass: Until July 2029*.
*Entry to Graduation Ball the year you graduate.
Refunds:
- Don't know if you've definitely got a spot at Uni yet? Don't worry we can offer refunds until 10am on Wednesday 20th August.
- From 10.01 am on Wednesday 20th August onwards onwards refunds will be given at our discretion and only under exceptional circumstances.
- If The Pass has been used we cannot offer a refund.
- If an event is cancelled or postponed we may not give monetary compensation but compensate by means of events or offers.

Lost property
We keep lost property for about 2 weeks. Email union@st-andrews.ac.uk with a description of what you lost and we'll see if we've got it.
